Here's my can of sparkling water before I recycled it in the office. - Melanie Myers
I walked the empty beach holding my bottle ful of fresh water emptying its contents into my body. Soon enough the empty water bottle was left in my hand awaiting a purpose or place. Serene peaceful I continued to walk holding my body and emptying my thoughts into the water as they crashed upon the sand and back into the ocean. Recycling naturally into the sunrise. The sun shed upon me the golden light as it bridged it’s way above the earth. As I came back up from the ocean I used the bottle to collect some sand and sea water for a mini capsule memory of a morning well spent near the beach. - Marisa Guglietta
This aluminum foil housed my breakfast for the day: an English muffin with peanut butter and flax seeds. It ended up in the office's blue bin for recycling. - Amber Patino
Yeah, this was the last thing I threw away. I love these frozen scallion pancakes. I get them from my local Chinese grocery, aptly called Good Neighbor, in Ridgewood ,Queens. That place is a lifesaver because I don’t have to go to Chinatown every time I need some pork floss. I should make scallion pancakes from scratch though (who’s got a good recipe?) Well, here’s one I just found., I’ll try it and report back…..

Remnants of dinner on campus. The sauce with corn gave me the ick so that's why it's leftover. - Lauren
I ate this chocolate and on the back it had information about a sustainability mission. It said “ THE CHOCOLATE INDUSTRY WASTES 70% OF THE CACAO POD USING THE BEANS ONLY. BLUE STRIPES UPCYCLES THE WHOLE CACA) SHELL + FRUIT + BEANS WHOLE CACAO CONSUMPTION IS GOOD FOR YOU, THE FARMERS AND THE PLANET.” I threw out the wrapper after eating the chocolate. - Kyla Browne
Today for breakfast I had an orange juice. The container is made of full plastic material, didn’t really get to finished it because I did not like the taste of it. Threw it in the rycle bin.

This is a pen I bought from a Japanese store (Mujis) I really like it it's nice effective and really smooth to write with but a piece on the inside broke so it can’t write I bought two though so I’m not too upset only sentimental value was lost.
